We have to get one thing out of the way first—some Alice chapters are better suited for IF than others. You will quickly find that some chapters are heavier in dialogue and with little in the way of action. While we applaud you if you do decide to adapt the challenging Humpty Dumpty chapter into a text adventure game (!), it is advisable to instead pick one that is rich in activity and locations that can be developed into a digital realm. Alternatively, you may decide to focus on one of the many Carroll poems (Jabberwocky, The Walrus and the Carpenter), instead of adapting an entire chapter.
Some of you may be thinking: "I don't see a chapter that interests me." While this course focuses on the Wonderland fiction of Lewis Carroll, you are welcome to explore the works of other classical authors. The important thing is that this project holds your interest throughout. If the books featuring Alice and the White Rabbit aren't your thing, find something that is and stick around. 😉
